The Zen x Valentino Guseli Pipe and Slope boards are the result of a multi-phase development process at the highest level of international snowboarding. Designed, tested and refined across two distinct performance stages, these boards represent uncompromising competition engineering.

One model is dedicated to explosive Pipe precision. The other is engineered for Slopestyle versatility and controlled power. Both are built to perform when margins are minimal.

Story

We first connected at the LAAX Open during the night finals at the top of the halfpipe. Over time, conversations about snowboarding, performance and board construction became more detailed — and more serious.

Eventually, the idea became clear: build competition boards without compromise.

In November, we met at the factory in Meiringen to define the next step. We analyzed riding style, competition demands, transition behavior, pop characteristics and edge control. We broke down what truly matters in Pipe and Slope at the highest level.

After hours of technical discussion and prototype planning, the dimensions and construction concepts for both boards were finalized.

Materials & Construction

For the base, we use high molecular weight polyethylene with a specialized surface structure and elevated carbon content for optimized glide and thermal conductivity.

The core construction blends locally sourced ash and poplar with a lightweight exotic wood from a controlled nearby plantation. The result is a precise balance between responsiveness, damping and structural stability.

Flex profiles, torsional behavior and geometry are individually tuned for Pipe and Slope performance:

The Pipe model is built for explosive vertical pop, edge hold and stability in high transitions.

The Slope model is optimized for versatility, controlled landings and dynamic response across features.

Since riding these boards, results consistently reflect their performance level. They are built to compete — and to deliver when margins are minimal.

The first boards of 158 and 154 will be ready to ship from June 24 on.

Your board’s flex and pop are defined by the sum of all materials used: wood core, epoxy, fiberglass, carbon stringers and dampening materials.

We offer both of Val’s boards in two main flex patterns:

VG Medium Flex
The pattern of choice for persistent riders. It’s playful but at the same time it works like an F1 race car. This flex requires a rider with solid fitness and in return it will deliver a durable performance over many winters.

VG Medium – Stiff pattern
Powerful, reliable, versatile and successful. For advanced to pro riders who are looking for the extra boost and rail-like edge hold.

It’s Valentino’s Flex Pattern of choice when he wants to go for it.

We are currently producing 30 signature custom snowboards on each length. The boards are available in two styles, numbered 1-10 for the True Twin Pipe Board  and 1-20 for the True Twin Slope Board.
